Our Story
Welcome to The Glade
We couldn’t find menswear that looked good, felt good & didn't harm the planet...so we did it ourselves.
What emerged was a love letter to fit, feel & fabric. Each piece was designed to move with your body, feel incredible to wear and made to last.
Our commitment to quality and sustainability drives everything we do; from the fabrics we select to the people we work with.

We are steadfast in our mission to protect the planet and only create locally, ethically, and sustainably.
Crafted within a 5km radius of our Sydney design studio, each item has a traceable supply chain and is created in limited quantities.
This approach minimises waste, preserves quality and honours every stitch.
Our Commitments
1. Sustainable & Circular Practices
- We only use organic, recycled or sustainably managed plant-based fibres, such as 100% Recycled Cotton & Tencel made from Eucalyptus.
- These fabrics are sourced only from trusted suppliers. From fibre to fabric, our suppliers have fully transparent supply chains, minimising our carbon footprint and environmental impact.
- We employ circular design practices; focusing on small-run, high quality production as part of our responsibility to the planet.
- We hold ourselves accountable to our own actions and are open and transparent in what we make, and how we make it. In doing.
- We aren’t perfect, but we are trying to improve each day.

- We produce in limited quantities to maintain our quality craftsmanship & reduce wastage.
- Every piece is sewn by our exceptional makers here in Sydney, Australia and in supporting us, you are supporting artisanal quality and a local, ethical supply chain.
- We say The Glade is an investment in quality over quantity. Our collection is designed to work with your body, not against it and will stand the test of time.

- While we mention menswear a lot, The Glade really exists for all body & gender expressions.
- As a queer-owned business we really believe in the power and safety of inclusive design.
- Something as small as a men’s skirt can open up a whole new world for people and we mean it when we say there is a seat for you at our table.
- As we only launched mid-2023, we are still constrained by prohibitive costs and overheads, but the more we grow, the more we can streamline our model, and the more affordable and accessible we will become.
- We are working towards a made-to-order service where the uniqueness of each body can be calibrated and celebrated.
